Leonardo Da Vinci can be characterized as a true Renaissance Man because he was always trying out new ideas others have not tried before with curiosity and creativity. Some new ideas were the flying machines he thought of and painting techniques like oil paint. He was on of the earliest artists who tried using the technique with oil painting, as most people used tempera. But his painting of the angel in the painting ‘The Baptism of Christ’ was so superior compared to his teacher, Verrocchio, that Verrocchio decided never to paint again. Other new ideas were the parachute or the flying devices he planned but never built. There were also the pulleys he thought of, a paper laminator, and many more.
